“When I came to Family Promise Metrowest six years ago, we didn’t have any business sponsors or support from the business community. My background is in business so I started by making cold calls, but it didn’t work. The reality is you can’t just ask businesses for money; they need to understand what we do and the change we make in people’s lives.

So, I changed my approach. I began inviting businesses to the Day Center, spending the time to teach them about our families and how hard they work to move ahead. Once they understood, businesses were eager to be part of our community and over the past several years we have grown to over seventy businesses in our network. Their generosity has allowed us to expand programming and plan for a bright future.”

– Carole Brodrick, Director of Development
